In The Mix: Contemporary Urban Workshops – 2nd, 3rd and 4th June 2010

In The Mix is a series of workshops that will take place during the Liverpool Sound City festival.

If you are aged 14-19 and want to develop your skills in DJing, MCing, beat boxing, street dancing and performance but don’t know where to start?  Well here is your chance.

In The Mix is a series of activities focused on Contemporary Urban and Hip Hop culture taking place as part of the Liverpool Sound City festival.  Over three days you will work with professional artists working in the Creative Industries to discover what it takes and learn some new skills.

This is an exciting and innovative project that requires dedication, motivation and a real interest in performing.  Whatever your ability this project is open to everyone.

In The Mix will be delivered at Alima Centre, 35 Sefton Street.  Participants will develop a performance or recording that will be performed or played at The Picket on the 19th or 26th June (WTS).  You will have the chance to work with some current UK artists and you will perform in your chosen discipline.

You can choose to take part in either the Dance or Music workshops (you cannot take part in both because they run simultaneously) .  You will work in groups of 15 to develop your performance or recording and you will collaborate with the other groups.

If you are 14-19, motivated, want to perform  and want to try your hand at developing skills in any of the above areas then please email us at

info@creativeideasinaction.com or phone 0151 291 9100

We need your name, age, contact information and school name.  We will then send you an application form to the email address or postal address you leave.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
